Ioanna Castelli is a laboratory faculty member at NTUA, a researcher at the Laboratory of Industrial and Energy Economics and a contract consultant-teacher at the Hellenic Open University. Her educational and research activity is related to the scientific areas of Industrial and Technological Economics and Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Industrial Policy and the impact of technology on the operation of enterprises and productive systems. She has participated in several European and national research projects falling within these areas. She has published in international journals, international edited volumes and international conferences and is co-author of the book “Competitiveness and Technology in Greece”. Her research work has attracted more than 1500 citations. She serves as coordinator of the Industrial Policy and Development research area of the European Association of Evolutionary Political Economy and associate editor of Springer’s Review of Evolutionary Political Economy.
Since 2011 she is coordinator of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit of NTUA. She has also participated as an evaluator in several innovation and entrepreneurship competitions and collaborates with the University of the Aegean in the framework of the Postgraduate Program “Digital Innovation and Startup Entrepreneurship”, where she teaches “Innovation and Entrepreneurship”, and the international summer school of e-entrepreneurship ebiz.
