The NTUA Administrative Board, at its meeting of 13/11/2024, approved the establishment of the NTUA spin-off company RedEdge, as well as the NTUA Research Committee participation in the company’s share capital.
RedEdge was founded by the researchers Athena Psalta, Vassilis Tsironis and Andreas El Saer in the context of their research activity at the Remote Sensing Laboratory of the NTUA School of Rural, Surveying and Geoinformatics Engineering. The aim of the company is to develop innovative artificial intelligence solutions for the processing and analysis of Earth Observation Data.
Specifically, RedEdge is focused on the following products and services:
- Development of specialized artificial intelligence algorithms for the creation of integrated solutions in the field of Earth Observation Data analysis.
- Development of customised applications for processing vast amounts of geospatial data.
- Exploitation of cutting-edge Earth Observation technology and applications to address challenges in the geoinformatics and remote sensing industry.
- Services to produce advanced analytics & insights for sectors such as agriculture, urban development, finance, insurance, infrastructure or transport.
